Buffalo chicken sandwiches
Ingredients/Components
- lettuce leaves - 4 item
- tomato, sliced - 1 item
- boneless, skinless chicken breasts - 4 item
- cayenne pepper sauce - 1/4 c
- butter, melted * - 1 Tbsp
- 97% fat-free wheat sandwich buns
- fat-free Ranch or Blue cheese dressing - 4 Tbsp
How to make buffalo chicken sandwiches:
*Note: Butter can be substituted with fat-free margarine or Blue Bonnet light to cut more fat grams.In a shallow dish, mix pepper sauce and butter. Add chicken, turning to coat. Let stand for 15 minutes. Preheat broiler. Place chicken on broiling rack; brush with 1/2 of the pepper-sauce mixture. Broil 4 minutes. Turn chicken. Brush with remaining sauce. Broil for 6 minutes. Heat buns. Place chicken, lettuce, tomato and 1 tablespoon of dressing on buns. Serve with coleslaw or baked French fries.
Note: If you do not have a broiler, cook in a 375° oven until chicken is no longer pink.
