Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- chili powder - 2 Tbsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- chopped green pepper - 3/4 c
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- medium onions, chopped - 2 item
- can tomato puree - 1 item
- pinto beans - 1 lb
- garlic cloves, chopped - 2 item
- strip bacon - 1 item
How to make buckaroo beans:
Soak beans overnight. Add bay leaf, garlic, onions, salt and bacon. Simmer slowly until done. Add tomato puree, dry mustard, oregano, brown sugar, chili powder and green pepper. Simmer 30 minutes longer.Recipe categories: Low protein, Side dish, Beans.
