Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sifted flour
- hot water - 2 tsp
How to make brown sugar cookies:
Cream together shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Add all other ingredients and blend well. Drop level teaspoon of dough onto greased cookie sheet. Press cookies lightly with fork. Bake in 350° oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Rolled cookies.
