Broccoli-rice casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- cooked rice - 1/2 c
- cooked chopped broccoli - 1 c
- undiluted cream of chicken soup or cream of mushroom soup - 1/2 c
- pasteurized process cheese spread such as Cheez Whiz - 2 oz
How to make broccoli-rice casserole:
Cook rice and broccoli separately in lightly salted water. Use as little water as possible to conserve vitamins. Mix broccoli, rice, soup and Cheez Whiz together. Season to taste. Put mixture into individual casseroles. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Side dish, Casseroles, Rice.
