- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- butter or margarine, melted - 1 Tbsp
- cream - 1 Tbsp
- packaged biscuit mix - 3 c
- currants or chopped raisins - 1/2 c
How to make breakfast scones:
Glaze:3 Tbsp. sugar1/2 tsp. cinnamon1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted1 Tbsp. cream Preheat oven to 425°. In medium bowl, combine biscuit mix, sugar and currants; mix well. With fork, stir in milk to make soft dough. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls 1-inch apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes. Serve warm. If desired, brush with glaze.Combine sugar with cinnamon and butter and cream to make paste. Brush over warm scones. Bake 2 minutes longer until lightly browned. Serve warm. Makes 15.
