  • half and half - 2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • butter - 1 item
  • beaten eggs - 6 item
  • slices white bread - 6 item
  • bulk pork sausage - 1 lb
  • shredded Longhorn cheese 6 oz

How to make breakfast casserole:

Remove crusts and spread butter or margarine to taste, then place bread in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Brown sausage to crumble, drain well, then spoon over bread. Sprinkle cheese over sausage. Mix eggs, milk and salt, then pour over cheese. Cover casserole and chill overnight. Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before baking. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 45 minutes or until set. Makes 8 servings.
