Buttermilk biscuits
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 3/4 c
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- sifted flour - 2 c
How to make buttermilk biscuits:
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and soda together. Cut in butter with 2 knives or pastry blender. Add buttermilk and mix quickly but thoroughly. Turn onto floured board. Knead lightly for a few seconds. Roll out to about 1/2-inch thickness and cut. Place on buttered baking sheet and brush with milk.
