Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 qt
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
How to make bread pudding:
Heat milk and bring to a scald. Stir into the egg mixture fast. Toast 6 slices of bread if thin slices (use 4 if thick slices). Butter and cut into squares; press into the milk. This will fit into a 2-quart casserole, greased. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Then lower oven to 350° for 30 minutes.
