Ingredients/Components
- medium cucumbers - 12 item
- medium onions - 5 item
- salt - 1/4 c
- sugar - 1 c
- mustard seed
- celery seed
- curry powder - 1/2 tsp
- vinegar - 1 c
- water - 1/2 c
How to make bread and butter pickles:
Wash cucumbers, peel onions and cut into 1/4-inch rings. Arrange in layers, sprinkling salt on each layer. Let stand 2 or 3 hours. Drain, combine remaining ingredients and simmer 10 minutes.
