  • sugar - 3 c
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • flour
  • oil - 1 c
  • buttermilk - 1 qt
  • eggs, beaten - 4 item
  • baking soda - 5 tsp
  • 15 oz box 40% Bran Flakes cereal or Raisin Bran - 1 item

How to make bran muffins:

Mix oil, sugar, eggs and buttermilk. Add flour, salt, soda and cereal. Mix batter thoroughly. Gently stir in 1 cup blueberries if plain bran is used. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. (Keeps up to 6 weeks in refrigerator.) Store in container with a tight lid. When you take out to bake, do not stir. Just spoon into greased muffin tins or use paper baking cups.
