Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- oil - 1/2 c
- buttermilk - 2 c
- baking soda
- boiling water - 1 c
- molasses - 1/4 c
- raisins - 1 c
- whole wheat flour
- shredded bran cereal - 3 c
How to make bran muffins:
Pour boiling water over raisins and bran. Mix wet ingredients together and stir into bran mixture. Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients. Put into lined muffin pans. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. Yields 2 dozen.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Muffins.
