Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- molasses - 1/2 c
- raisins - 3/4 c
- hot water - 2 Tbsp
- whole wheat flour - 2 c
How to make raisin brown bread:
Preheat oven to 350°. Stir all ingredients together. Mix well. Pour into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake approximately 50 minutes or until bread pulls away from sides of pan. Remove from pan and cool on rack.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Low fat.
