Braised sirloin tips
Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/4 c
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- onion salt - 1/4 tsp
- can beef consomme - 1 item
- beef sirloin, cut into thin strips - 2 lb
- red Burgundy or cranberry cocktail - 1/3 c
How to make braised sirloin tips:
Melt shortening, brown meat. Stir in the consomme, wine, soy sauce, garlic and onion salt. Simmer 1 hour or until meat is tender. Blend cornstarch and water; stir into meat mixture. Serve over hot cooked rice or noodles. I also use either round or venison steak.Recipe categories: Meat, Beef, Steak.
