Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • water
  • oil - 2 Tbsp
  • carrots - 6 item
  • potatoes - 6 item
  • chuck roast - 3 to
  • can mushroom soup - 1 item
  • dry onion soup mix - 1 pkg

How to make pot roast:

In a 6-quart pot, place oil. Brown roast on all sides. Cut off fat. Stir in mushroom soup mix and 1 cup water. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook 2 hours. Add vegetables. Cover and cook 45 minutes or until roast and vegetables are tender. Recover roast. Stir flour and remaining 1/4 cup water until smooth. Mixture boils and thickens.
