Blueberry muffins
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- sifted flour - 2 c
- egg, well beaten - 1 item
- blueberries - 1 c
- melted shortening - 6 Tbsp
How to make blueberry muffins:
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and 1/4 cup of sugar together. Combine egg, milk and shortening. Add all at once to flour mixture. Stir until dry ingredients are moist, but still lumpy. Fold in blueberries. Fill greased muffin pan 2/3 full. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of sugar. Bake in hot oven (400°) for about 25 minutes.
