  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • soda - 1/4 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • chocolate chips - 3/4 c
  • shortening - 2/3 c
  • chopped nuts optional - 1 item
  • hot water - 2 Tbsp

How to make blond brownies:

Cream eggs, sugar, shortening, vanilla and water. Add all dry ingredients. Fold in chips and nuts. Bake at 350° in greased 9 x 13-inch pan for 30 minutes.
