  • sugar - 1 c
  • cream cheese - 8 oz
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • water - 1 c
  • oil - 1/3 c
  • cocoa - 1/4 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • chocolate chips - 6 oz
  • egg - 1 item
  • vinegar - 1 tsp

How to make black bottom cupcakes:

Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, salt, water, oil, vinegar and vanilla. Mix until blended. Fill cupcake papers 1/2 full. Combine softened cheese, egg and sugar until fluffy. Drop a large spoonful on top of each cupcake. Add about 10 chocolate chips to each. Bake at 350° for 15 to 18 minutes. Makes about 20.
