  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • cream cheese - 8 oz
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • flour
  • water - 1 c
  • cocoa - 1/4 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • chocolate chips - 1/2 c
  • vegetable oil - 1/3 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • white vinegar - 1 Tbsp

How to make black bottom cupcakes:

Have cream cheese at room temperature. Blend the cheese, egg, sugar and salt in bowl; fold in chocolate chips. Set aside.

In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients; mix well. Add the vanilla, salt, water, oil and vinegar; blend thoroughly. Fill cupcake papers 1/2 full with batter, then drop 1 heaping tablespoonful cream cheese mixture into center of each. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Makes 18.
