Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • cream cheese - 8 oz
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • flour
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips - 6 oz
  • water - 1 c
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • cocoa - 1/4 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • white vinegar - 1 tsp

How to make black bottom cupcakes:

Cream first 4 ingredients in a small bowl. Add chocolate chips. Set aside. Mix the next 9 ingredients in a large bowl. Fill cupcake tins 1/2 full with chocolate mix. Place a heaping teaspoonful of cream cheese on top of each batter. Bake in oiled and floured cupcake tins for 20 to 25 minutes at 350°. Makes 12.
