Best ever sugar cookies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- soda - 1 tsp
- egg, unbeaten - 1 item
- soft margarine - 1/2 c
- thick sour cream - 1/2 c
- vanilla or 1 tsp
How to make best ever sugar cookies:
Sift flour, soda and salt together. Beat butter, sugar, egg and flavoring until creamy. Add sour cream and flour mixture. Beat at low speed 2 1/2 minutes. Preheat oven to 375°. Roll dough on floured surface to 1/4-inch thick. Sprinkle with sugar and roll in lightly. Bake on greased cookie sheet. Can put nuts, raisins or cherries in middle; or Chris' favorite is to cut out with cookie cutters. Bake 7 to 8 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
