Beef stir-fry
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 item
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- pepper - 1 item
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- medium onion - 1 item
- cloves garlic - 2 item
- peanut oil - 1/4 c
- small can mushrooms - 1 item
- green pepper - 1 item
- head cauliflower - 1/2 item
- head broccoli - 1 item
- round steak - 1 pkg
How to make beef stir-fry:
Slice steak across grain into 1/4-inch strips. Peel and chop garlic. Heat to high a wok or large skillet. When hot, add the oil, meat strips and garlic. Cover and stir for about 3 minutes. Dice onion and cut pepper into strips. Cut broccoli and cauliflower into bite size pieces. Drain mushrooms and add these to wok. Add soy sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Continue cooking and stirring for approximately 5 minutes.Put cornstarch in water; add to skillet. Cook until sauce in skillet is thickened. Serve hot over cooked white rice.
Tip: Prepare all ingredients before beginning the dish.
