Ingredients/Components
- salt
- cooking oil - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion
- bay leaf - 1 item
- tapioca - 3 Tbsp
- clove garlic - 1 item
- carrots - 6 item
- parsley - 1 Tbsp
- medium potatoes - 3 item
- can tomatoes - 1 lb
- celery - 1/2 c
- stew meat - 2 lb
- can broth - 1 1/2
How to make beef stew:
Brown beef on all sides in hot oil. Add onion, tomatoes, tapioca, broth, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper and bay leaf. Bring to a boil. Pour over casserole. Cover. Bake in a 350° oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Add vegetables; bake for 1 hour or until vegetables are done.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Stew.
