Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- flour - 1/3 c
- water - 1 c
- oil - 1/3 c
- vinegar - 1/3 c
- dry mustard - 2 tsp
- paprika - 3 Tbsp
- caraway seed - 2 tsp
- hamburger meat - 4 lb
- peppercorns - 20 item
- bay leaves - 3 item
- stalks celery, cut in 1/2 - 6 item
- medium onions, cut in 1/2 - 3 item
- large carrots, cut in 1/2 - 4 item
How to make goulash:
Combine flour, salt, paprika, and mustard. Roll meat in flour mixture. Brown meat slowly in hot oil. Sprinkle remaining flour mixture over meat. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Then remove vegetables and bay leaf. Pack meat into jars, leaving 1/2 inch headspace. Cover with sauce, 1 pint 1 hour, 1 quart 1 hour and 15 minutes at 10 pounds pressure.Recipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Beef.
