Beef-pepper steak
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- cold water - 1/2 c
- Crisco oil - 1/4 c
- garlic salt - 1 tsp
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- medium onion, thinly sliced - 1 item
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- green peppers, thinly sliced - 2 item
- round steak, cut into 1/8-inch strips - 1 lb
How to make beef-pepper steak:
Preheat oil in skillet at 350°. Add meat and brown. Remove to serving dish. Add onion and pepper slices to skillet and cook until just tender. Dissolve cornstarch in water and soy sauce. Add sugar, garlic, pepper and salt. Pour into skillet with vegetables, stirring until sauce is thickened and clear.
