Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- cornstarch - 3/4 c
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- water - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
How to make batter for fried vegetables:
In bowl, stir together first 5 ingredients. Add water and egg; stir until smooth. Dip cut up vegetables, such as zucchini, carrots, onion, mushrooms or boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes. Dip into mixture before placing vegetables or meat into hot oil.
