Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • catsup - 1/2 c
  • dash of hot pepper sauce - 1 item
  • chili sauce - 1/2 c
  • celery seed - 1 tsp
  • ribs, cut into serving pieces - 3 lb
  • garlic powder or 1 crushed garlic clove - 1/8 tsp
  • prepared mustard or dry - 2 tsp

How to make barbecued ribs:

Cover ribs with water in large saucepan. Cover; simmer over medium-low heat for 1 hour. In nonmetallic pan, mix remaining ingredients. Drain ribs; place in sauce and coat each rib. Let cool. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Grill until brown and heated through, about 20 minutes. Serves 6.
