Ingredients/Components

  • brown sugar - 1/4 c
  • water - 1/4 c
  • oil - 3 Tbsp
  • vinegar - 1/4 c
  • Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
  • catsup - 1 c
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • large onion - 1 item

How to make barbecue sandwiches:

Chop onion and brown in oil. Add to onion the catsup, sugar, water, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Simmer for 1/2 hour. This makes enough for 2 pounds of chopped ham. Heat thoroughly after adding meat. Serve on fresh buns.
