  • graham cracker crumbs - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • box powdered sugar - 1 lb
  • bananas, sliced - 5 item
  • stick margarine, melted - 1 item
  • Cool Whip, thawed - 1 (20
  • can crushed pineapple, well drained - 1 oz
  • sticks margarine, softened - 2 item
  • jar pitted maraschino cherries, drained - 1 oz

How to make banana split cake:

Mix together melted margarine and crumbs and pat into a 13 x 9-inch pan. Mix margarine, eggs and sugar. Beat 15 minutes with electric mixer. Pour over crust. Layer sliced bananas over filling. Spread pineapple over bananas. Spread Cool Whip over pineapple layer and top with cherries and nuts. Chill at least 12 hours before serving.

Note: One teaspoon vanilla may be added to sugar mixture.
