Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- eggs - 2 item
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 3 Tbsp
- self-rising flour - 2 c
- ripe bananas, mashed - 1 c
- butter flavor Crisco - 1/3 c
How to make banana nut bread:
Mix together thoroughly the sugar, Crisco and eggs. Stir in buttermilk and bananas. Add self-rising flour and soda. Beat until mixed well. Fold in nuts. Pour into well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Let stand 20 minutes before baking. Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Yeast breads.
