- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
- rum flavoring - 1/2 tsp
- softened margarine - 1/2 c
- to 3 large ripe bananas - 2 item
How to make banana nut bread:
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. In a medium bowl, cream margarine. Gradually add sugar; beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, beat well after each addition. Stir in flavorings. In a small bowl, using a fork or pastry blender, mash bananas until pureed. Add to creamed mixture using mixer, until smooth. With a spoon, add flour until flour is just moistened. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into greased loaf pan and bake for 1 hour. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Yeast breads.
