Banana cream pie
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 2 c
- bananas - 3 item
- small container Cool Whip - 1 item
- sliced almonds optional - 1 item
- pie crust frozen or fresh - 1 item
How to make banana cream pie:
Bake pie crust at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown; let cool.Cook over medium-high heat the pie filling mix and milk; stir constantly. When mixture starts to boil, add 1 mashed banana. Continue to cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Set aside and let cool.
Slice the remaining 2 bananas into bottom of cooled pie crust. Top immediately with cooled pudding. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Top with Cool Whip and garnish with almonds. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
Note: The longer the pie sits in fridge, the firmer the pudding becomes, thus making it easier to slice and serve.
