Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- oil - 1/4 c
- buttermilk - 1/4 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- egg whites - 4 item
- wheat germ - 1/2 c
How to make banana bread:
Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix in wheat germ. Add all remaining ingredients and beat well. Place in an oiled 8 x 4-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for about 1 hour or until done. Yields 1 loaf (16 slices), approximately 130 calories per serving (1 slice).Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Quick breads.
