Baked spaghetti
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/4 c
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- 8 oz - 2 c
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped green pepper - 1 c
- spaghetti, cooked and drained - 12 oz
- dried oregano - 2 tsp
- ground beef, browned and drained - 1 lb
- can sliced ripe olives, drained - 1 1/4
- can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted - 1 3/4
- can tomatoes with liquid, cut up - 1 oz
- can mushrooms and pieces, drained - 1 oz
How to make baked spaghetti:
In a large skillet, saute onion and green pepper in butter until tender. Add tomatoes, mushrooms, olives and oregano. Add ground beef. Place half the spaghetti in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Top with half the vegetable mix. Sprinkle with 1 cup of cheese. Repeat layers. Mix soup and water until smooth. Pour over casserole. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Yield: 12 servings.Recipe categories: Pasta, Main dish, Spaghetti.
