Ingredients/Components

  • bread crumbs - 2 c
  • mushrooms, sliced - 24 item
  • white wine - 2 c
  • scallops - 2 lb
  • shallots, chopped - 2 item
  • dry grated cheese Romano or Parmesan - 1/4 c

How to make baked scallops:

Wash and pat dry scallops; simmer in wine 5 minutes. Drain and save liquid. Add mushrooms and shallots; simmer 20 minutes. In shallow baking dish, place scallops; pour mushroom mixture over and top with bread crumbs. When ready to serve, place pat of butter on top and broil until crisp.
