Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 7 c
  • sour cream - 8 oz
  • butter or margarine
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • flour - 2/3 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • shredded Cheddar cheese
  • peeled & cubed baked potatoes - 4 c
  • green onions finely sliced - 4 item
  • strips cooked bacon crumbled - 12 item

How to make baked potato soup:

In al large kettle melt butter. Stir in flour. Heat and stir until smooth. Add milk, stirring until thickened. Add potatoes and onions. Bring just to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer 5 minutes; stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients. stir until cheese is melted. Served hot.
