  • sliced bacon - 1/2 lb

How to make baked lima beans:

Day before, cover beans with water; refrigerate overnight. Next day, drain beans; put in large saucepan. Cover with hot water. Add 1 teaspoon salt. Boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, about 40 minutes or until beans are tender. Drain. Reserve 6 sli
