Baked chicken casserole
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- medium onion - 1 item
- can mixed vegetables - 1 item
- dry chicken noodle soup - 1 pkg
- diced chicken or more - 1 c
How to make baked chicken casserole:
Add 2 1/2 cups boiling water to soup mix. Cover and simmer for 7 minutes. In a skillet, melt the butter and saute diced onion. Remove onion and blend in flour. Stir in hot soup and cook until thickened.Grease a 1 1/2-quart casserole. Arrange layers of mixed vegetables, onion and diced chicken. Pour sauce over all. Top with 1 cup soft bread crumbs and 1 tablespoon margarine. Bake at 450° for 15 minutes. Serves six.
