Baked chicken and rice
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- paprika - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chicken broth - 3 c
- celery salt - 1 tsp
- fryer, cut up - 1 item
- uncooked regular rice - 1 c
How to make baked chicken and rice:
Sprinkle chicken with paprika, salt and pepper. Set aside.Brown rice and onion in butter over medium heat. Spread rice in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch greased baking dish. Add broth and celery salt. Place chicken on top of rice/broth mixture. Cover dish tightly with foil. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Remove cover and bake 15 minutes longer or until meat is tender. Makes 6 servings.
You may use chicken breasts or your favorite pieces of chicken instead of a whole chicken. Use 6 to 8 pieces.
