Baked cheese grits
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- butter - 1/4 c
- water - 3 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- grits - 3/4 c
- cheese, shredded and divided - 1/2 lb
How to make baked cheese grits:
Bring water to a boil in saucepan. Add salt and grits. Cook until done, following directions on package. Remove from heat. Stir a couple of tablespoons of grits into beaten eggs. Add back to the grits. Stir in remaining ingredients, except 1/4 cup of cheese. Pour into buttered 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
