Ingredients/Components

  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts optional - 1 item
  • brown sugar, packed - 1/2 c
  • sugar to sprinkle on top - 1 item
  • wheel Brie - 1 item
  • pinch of nutmeg optional - 1 item
  • phyllo dough frozen sheets - 1 pkg
  • egg yolks for wash - 2 item

How to make baked brie:

Roll out two sheets of phyllo dough. Place Brie on top. Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and nuts on top of Brie. Fold pastry over Brie. (Use excess pastry to decorate top.)

Beat yolks for egg wash and spread on top of dough (phyllo). Sprinkle with granulated sugar and nuts.

Bake, on cookie sheet lined with foil, at 325°, in preheated oven, for 15 to 25 minutes, until top of pastry is golden brown. Let cool for at least 45 minutes before serving. Serve with unsalted crackers.
