Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 2 oz
- Parmesan cheese, grated - 1 item
- fresh asparagus - 1 lb
- stick oleo or butter - 1 lb
- bacon, fried crisp and crumbled - 1 lb
- bunch of green onions - 1 item
- loaf of thin white bread sandwich - 1 item
How to make asparagus rolls:
Steam and drain asparagus. Trim crusts of bread and flatten with a rolling pin or water glass. Mix cream cheese (softened), crumbled bacon and sliced green onions. Spread mixture on each slice of bread and place an asparagus spear on bread with mixture. Roll bread slice jelly roll style. Dip in melted butter or oleo, then roll in grated Parmesan cheese. Spray cookie sheet with Pam. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes; turn and bake until brown. Cool a bit and slice in half or thirds.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Rolls/biscuits.
