Applesauce muffins

Ingredients/Components

• hot applesauce - 2 c
• butter - 1/2 c
• brown sugar - 2 c
• flour - 3 c
• salt - 1/4 tsp
• cinnamon - 2 tsp
• cloves - 1 tsp
• raisins - 1 c
• nuts, chopped - 1 c
• soda, dissolved in 4 tsp - 2 tsp

How to make applesauce muffins:

Mix butter in hot applesauce. Combine other ingredients with the flour and add the applesauce gradually. Add soda and water last. Spoon into well-greased muffin tins. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Makes 36 cupcakes. Ice with brown sugar icing.
