Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 1/4 c
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- vegetable oil - 1/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- self-rising flour
- lemon juice - 2 tsp
- applesauce
- ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- apples, peeled and diced - 3 item
How to make applesauce cake:
In a large mixing bowl combine flour, sugar and cinnamon. Add applesauce, milk, oil, lemon juice, vanilla, butter and one egg. Mix well. Bake in a 9 x 13-inch cake pan at 375° for 15 minutes. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with diced apples, sugar and cinnamon. Then bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until apples are soft and a toothpick comes out clean.
