Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- butter or margarine - 1/3 c
- flour - 1/2 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 3/4
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- rolled oats uncooked - 1/2 c
- cinnamon and sugar to sprinkle on apples - 1 item
- to 5 apples, sliced enough to fill an 8 x 8-inch pan or small cake pan - 4 item
How to make apple crisp:
Combine brown sugar, butter, flour, oats, cinnamon and nutmeg together until crumbly. Slice apples thin (like you would for a pie). Sprinkle with some sugar and cinnamon; place in baking dish and cover apples with the crumb mixture. Bake at 350° to 375° for 30 minutes, until crumbs are brownish.Can use 1 can of cherry pie filling instead of apples for Cherry Crisp.
