  • cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 1/2 c
  • butter - 1/3 c
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • brown sugar, packed - 2/3 3/4
  • oats - 1/2 c
  • sliced pared tart apples - 4 c

How to make apple crisp:

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 8 X 8 X 2 square pan. Place apple slices in pan. Mix remaining ingredients thoroughly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake 30 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Serve warm. Good with Cool Whip or vanilla ice cream. Makes 6 servings.

We prefer topping doubled. Can substitute or mix fruits - cherry, peach, pineapple, pear, fruit cocktail.
