  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 item
  • flour
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • soda - 2/3 tsp
  • cocoa - 1 Tbsp
  • shortening - 1 c
  • nuts, chopped - 1 c
  • warm water - 1/2 c
  • allspice - 1/2 tsp
  • large apples, chopped - 3 item

How to make apple cake:

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Dissolve soda in warm water and add flour, spices, cocoa, vanilla and a little salt. Fold in apples and chopped nuts. Bake in tube pan for 70 minutes in 350° oven.
