Apple cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 c
• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• vanilla - 2 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• nutmeg - 1 tsp
• soda - 2 tsp
• eggs, beaten - 2 item
• margarine - 6 Tbsp
• flour, sifted - 2 c
• nuts, chopped - 1 c
• apples, diced - 6 c

How to make apple cake:

Cream margarine, sugar and eggs. Mix well. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Stir in apples, nuts and vanilla. Spread into greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 60 minutes.

Serve with ice cream or whipped topping. Makes 12 to 14 servings.
