- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cold water - 6 c
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 1/4 c
- fresh parsley - 3 Tbsp
- celery seed - 1 Tbsp
- medium onions - 3 item
- shrimp - 2 lb
- large cucumbers - 12 item
- white vinegar - 1 qt
- mustard seed - 1 Tbsp
- turmeric - 1 Tbsp
- bell peppers optional - 2 item
- cloves garlic optional - 3 item
- sugar brown may be used - 2 c
How to make appetizer shrimp kabobs:
Peel onions. Wash cucumbers. Combine salt and water. Slice onions (optional bell pepper) and cucumbers with peel into 1/4-inch slices. Soak for 1 hour in the salt and water solution.
