Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 3/4 c
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
- lukewarm water - 2 Tbsp
How to make angel biscuits:
Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Let stand 5 minutes. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and sugar together. Add shortening and cut in with pastry blender. Add yeast to buttermilk.
