  • sugar - 3 Tbsp
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • buttermilk - 2 c
  • self-rising flour - 1 item
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • warm water - 1/4 item
  • yeast - 1 pkg

How to make angel biscuits:

Sift 4 cups flour with the sugar and soda. Cut in Crisco until it looks like cornmeal. Place in an another bowl 1 cup flour, buttermilk and yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water. Mix well to the first mixture and place on a floured paper and roll wet. Place in a greased covered bowl and keep in refrigerator and cook as you need. Roll out like biscuits. Cook at 425°.
